It was very easy to redeem the tickets and find the pickup and dropoff points. The Brooklyn tour was not worth the price and some of the guides were just OK. Buses were always readily available and we never had a problem getting a seat right away.Paul S., United States, 08-2008
The only problem we had was with the girl in the Tour office when we got out tickets. She gave us the wrong time for both the night tour (started at 6:00pm.. she told us 6:30) and the all-day tour (started at 8am; she told us 7:30am and that we should be there by 7:15). We were fortunate not to miss the night tour as everything we had read said 6:00 so we showed up then. The bus left promptly at 6:00. On the Hop on-Hop off bus, they were very consistent in showing up at the stops right at every 15 minutes. This made it easy for us to plan our stops and how long to stay. Only once did we have to get off the bus and wait for another when the tour guide talked so fast that we couldn't understand her. We fully utilized the tour company's offerings. As expected, most of the guides and drivers were excellent (some better than others, with all but one very knowledgeable and understandable). We had one instance where the guide's condescending tone was a bit put-offish and it was also the only one difficult to understand (combination Bronx accent and poor PA system). The two best were a college student and a college math professor (go figure). All of the drivers are to be commended. The tour by itself was fine and some of the guides were good others not so good, some were not friendly but because you can go of the bus and hop on later on it is ok. The thing that made us upset is the fact that one has tickets for the statue of liberty but has to book to go on there two days in advance, nobody told us from your company to do so, so we turned up and could not go on, after queing up for hours and the ferry took time , in fact a waste of time and money, and very disapointing !!!!!!!!!!!Marianne K., Netherlands, 05-2008

The tour guides were great- drivers were terrifying- but as is all driving in NY city. Getting on and off was easy but you were asked for donations at each point- we got on and off 10-12 times which made it a little pricey so keep lots of singles on hand. This is a must in NYC. The best think is you can really hop on and off anytime you feel like. If you decide you're about to drop dead shopping, just hop on, enjoy the wind on the roof top and listen to the tour guide. If the guide mumbles, or tells you stuff you're not interested in, just get out and catch the next one in just a few minutes with a better guide. Make sure you bring bottle of water on board and sun/wind protection if you want to enjoy the roof top option. Of course, if it's cold, just get in and enjoy the ride:)

How long is the loop if I do not disembark at any of the stops?
Downtown Loop is approximately 2.5 hrs, Uptown: 2hrs, Brooklyn: 2hrs, Night Loop: 2hrs.
If I get off at one of the stops, how long do I wait for another bus to come by?
During the months of January - March, approximately 30-45 minutes and from April- December, approximately 20-30 minutes.

You should pick up your tickets at the Gray Line
New York Sightseeing office, located at 777 Eighth Avenue (between 47th &
48th Streets). You will receive an E-Ticket Voucher at time of booking. Print and submit this voucher for tickets.
What should I do if I don't receive my confirmation e-mail after making an
online purchase?

Do your open-top double decker tours operate in the rain?
Yes,
our double decker buses run rain or shine. We offer complimentary
disposable ponchos on rainy days to help keep you dry and you always
have the option to travel in the bottom, covered half of our double
decker buses. The lower level of the buses are heated in the winter and
air conditioned in the summer. No bathroom on board. Our buses meet the most
stringent environmental standards existing today.
Are your vehicles handicapped accessible?
Yes. Handicapped
accessible vehicles are available. Any passenger requiring an ADA accessible
vehicle must inform us no later than 48 hours prior to departure. Call the number on your voucher to make arrangements.
Is smoking or drinking allowed aboard your vehicles?
For
the health and safety of our passengers and drivers, smoking and drinking is not allowed on
any of our vehicles.
Where do the double decker buses stop on your Hop-On Hop-Off

Please use our ALL LOOPS ROUTE MAP for all the stops throughout Uptown, Downtown of Manhattan and
Brooklyn.
Do you offer a student, military or other discounts such as AAA?
Regrettably
we do not offer discounted student, or military tickets to individuals.
We only offer adult and children rates, there are no discounted senior
rates.
Please Note: At holiday times and in summer, clients should allow at least 2-3 hours if visiting only Statue of Liberty and 3-4 hours if visiting both Statue and Ellis Island.Purchasing ferry ticket in advance, will allow clients to save time by not having to stand in line at ticket booth but they must still wait on line to board ferry. First stop is Liberty Island, second stop is Ellis Island then ferry returns to Battery Park.
