The tour was great. The tour guide was king, dedicated and entertaining. The mass service was fantastic. Perhaps slightly uncomfortable since we were unable to see the gospel choir from where we were sitting. The sound was astonishing though and the experience unforgettable. It was a very good way to learn more about the district of Harlem - one that tourists would typically not visit during a short stay. The tour guide was brilliant. Very entertaining and educating. This tour was the highlight of my trip to New York. The guide provided the most fascinating insight into the history and culture of Harlem, which was entertaining and definitely worth listening to. Despite the freezing cold weather, which meant we were all reluctant to get off the bus, we certainly got a good view of all the important, and actually beautiful sights of this part of town. The church service provided the most welcoming, inspiring and moving Sunday morning I've experienced perhaps ever. I've wanted to do this tour since we arrived in NY 2 years ago. My mother-in-law was visiting and also wanted to try it so we booked! Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and made the tour very interesting. The highlight was, of course, the gospel choir and congregation...uplifting and inspirational. At one point it was so moving it left me in tears! I'll be booking again when my parents come to visit.

There were two drawbacks for me.
First, it took quite awhile for us to board the coach.
Second, I was expecting, & would have preferred, more time walking & less riding on the coach.

The tour was excellent but I think tourists should be advised of the various possible end-of-tour "getting off the bus" places; I would have preferred to meet my friend uptown instead of going back to the origination point.

Proper dress is required to attend the church service: no shorts or tank tops will be accepted.

Sunday Year Round. Tours will NOT operate on: Memorial Day (May 26th, 2008), Labor Day (Sept. 1, 2008), Independence Day (July 4, 2008), Thanksgiving (Nov. 27th, 2008) , Christmas (Dec. 25th, 2008), or New Years Day (Jan. 01, 2009)
Departure Time:We meet 15 minutes prior to tour departure.

Hotel Pickup:
Only groups of 25 or more can be picked up from their hotel within Manhattan at no additional charge. Individuals meet at our ticket office located at 690 8th Avenue between 43rd & 44th Street.
Complimentary drop-offs are offered on all late night tours and most daytime tours from uptown, down to 34th Street. The drop-offs are made along Columbus Avenue, Broadway, and Seventh Avenue.

Confirmation & Travel Voucher:
This tour must be booked 24hrs in advance of your travel date. Your confirmation for this product will be received within 12-24 hours subject to availability. You will receive a confirmation email with a link to your E-Ticket Voucher. Print voucher on your home/ office printer and present SIGNED voucher at departure location.Only one voucher will be created per tour acitivity for all travelers.
Cancellation and No Show Policy:
- More than 3 days prior: no charge
- 48hrs prior: $15.00 per person per tour booked
- Less than 24hr: 100% will apply
- No shows: 100% will apply
Recommended: Comfortable shoes and a extra layer of warm clothing.
Tour Guide Gratuities and Souvenirs are not included.
